Senior Infection Prevention & Control Officer
B&NES are recruiting a Senior IP&C officer with an interest in infection, prevention and control. You will have an up-to-date knowledge in infection, prevention and control with an awareness of current communicable disease issues.
You will be responsible for the management and supervision of 2 Infection Prevention & Control Officers, provide general and COVID-19 specific IP&C advice, support to a range of care providers to ensure a safe environment for residents, clients, staff and visitors in line with national infection prevention and control guidance.
The post holder will implement and oversee appropriate training programmes and the actions required to deliver the Council’s long term strategy for dealing with local outbreaks in care homes and the community and will be responsible for escalating any areas of concern to the IP&C multi-disciplinary team (MDT) and COVID-19 Health Protection Board.
The post is Fixed Term until 20/06/2021, Council Grade 10, Salary Band £39,880 to £42,821, 37 hours per week, together with pension and paid annual leave.
